STORY

Geoffrey D. Starks Jr. grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas with an early sense of style. Though an aspiring creative, his first summer job was selling suits. From earning degrees in Advertising and Fine Arts to designing t-shirts, fashion became his career.

2000

Founded and co-owned AMAGEE, a line of branded T-shirts.

Working in fashion retail as a stylist, he began expressing his attitude toward men’s suiting.  Not always able to find the fit and fabric he meticulously imagined, he started designing custom clothing under his alias, Geoff Duran.

2012

Designed the wardrobe for Renowned R&B Soul Balladeer, Kenny Lattimore’s International Tour.

2014

Designed Derek Fisher’s sideline wardrobe in his inaugural season as head coach of the New York Knicks, for which GQ Magazine voted Fisher “Best Dressed NBA Coach of 2014.”

Geoff noticed that his clients, like many other men were only wearing a traditional suit & tie or leisurewear. His desire to solve this overdressed-underdressed conundrum led him to address appropriateness with an informal-formal point of view.

2017

Introduced his signature M5K™ as the quintessential shirt for tieless tailoring.

In 2018, under the premise that every dude needs a white formal shirt that doesn’t require a tie, Geoff released his iconic M5K™ All-White Series. This was more than turning a men’s wardrobe staple into a statement of refined cool, it was the start of Geoff delivering sartorial freedom to men everywhere.
