GEOFF DURAN is hip luxury tailoring where black-tie meets leisure for unconventional and unlimited appropriateness. Multi-style monochromatic suiting separates with a relaxed fit and formal detail, provide interchangeable freestyle for different attitudes and occasions.
Geoff Duran
“Every dude should have the freedom of style to be suited in his own right, only obligated to appropriateness.”
I’m an advocate for sartorial freedom, countering traditionalism on behalf of luxury suitors of the cool crowd. I design suiting holistically with a clean-design approach, manipulating composition to push the contextual boundaries of formality with a tieless point of view; I believe in appropriateness, yet I freestyle. Influenced by hip-hop and Dandyism, I believe suiting should be as cool and comfortable, as it is refined. My juxtaposition of informal and formal solves men’s overdressed-underdressed conundrum rooted in the cognitive dissonance between conformity and individuality.

Story
I grew up in the Bible Belt South, in Little Rock, Arkansas where church and a summer job selling suits were my introduction to sartorialism. From wanting to be an architect, to earning degrees in Advertising and Fine Arts to starting a t-shirt line, fashion became my career. Working in fashion retail as a stylist, I began expressing my attitude toward men’s suiting. Not always able to find the fit and fabric I meticulously imagined, I started designing custom clothing under my alias, Geoff Duran. 2012- I designed the Taste Capsule for Renowned R&B Soul Balladeer, Kenny Lattimore’s tour and press wardrobe. 2014- I designed Derek Fisher’s sideline wardrobe in his inaugural season as head coach of the New York Knicks, for which GQ Magazine voted Fisher “Best Dressed NBA Coach of 2014.” I noticed that my clients, like many other men were looking for a sophisticated medium between the traditional suit & tie and leisurewear. 2017- I designed my signature M5K™ shirt and Metropolis™ blazer as the quintessential look of tieless tailoring. 2018- I released my iconic M5K™ All-White Series under the premise that every dude needs a white formal shirt that doesn’t require a tie. The introduction of my M5K™ was more than turning a men’s wardrobe staple into a statement of refined cool, it was the start of delivering sartorial freedom to men everywhere. 2023- I founded TAPE TALK, Measure of a Man™ reel series on Instagram to promote style & substance as a way of life.
